What this is

Is Go US an immigration consultancy?

No. It is an information tool. It provides no immigration services and brokers none, represents nobody before USCIS, the Department of State or any consulate, and does not prepare, review or file petitions or forms.

So what is it for?

So that, before spending time and money, you know which route matches the answers you gave and what the queue for your country of birth says today. It is a starting point: it exists so you reach a conversation with a professional already knowing what to ask.

Is the check free?

Yes. You answer and get the result without paying and without a card. Only the detailed report is paid, at US$ 9.90, once.

How long does it take?

Ten to fifteen questions, depending on your situation. About three minutes.

The queue

Why ask for country of birth and not nationality?

Because the queue applies by country of birth, not by nationality or residence. Someone born in India who naturalised elsewhere stays in India's queue. It is the chargeability rule.

What does it mean for a category to be unavailable?

That in that month no numbers are being issued in that category for that country. It is not the same as being ineligible: it means that, even qualifying, no visa is available while that holds.

Are the queue figures a forecast?

No. They are the distance between the published cut-off date and the date the bulletin was consulted. Queues can stall and even move backward — that is called retrogression.

How often is this updated?

The bulletin is monthly, and the data file is updated at the start of each month. Every result states which bulletin it uses.

The routes

Which routes are covered?

EB-5, L-1A, L-1B and the EB-3 subcategories have objective requirements and are measured against a rule. EB-1A, EB-2 NIW and O-1A are handled differently, because their criteria depend on a merit assessment.

Why don't you say whether I am eligible for the EB-1A?

Because no automated tool can say that honestly. The EB-1A requires three of ten criteria, and each is assessed on merit by the officer. What can be done is map where there is an indication, where there is documented evidence, and how many criteria are short.

Does meeting three criteria guarantee approval?

No. After checking the criteria, the officer makes a final assessment of whether the whole demonstrates the required level. Three criteria with thin evidence are not the same as three with solid evidence.

Does the L-1 work for someone with their own company?

It depends on the structure. The requirement is a qualifying corporate relationship between the foreign and U.S. entities — parent, branch, affiliate or subsidiary — and one continuous year of employment within the group in the preceding three years. Being a shareholder is not enough if the structure does not demonstrate that relationship.

Do I need a job offer?

For the EB-3, yes, and there is no self-petition. For the O-1 a U.S. petitioner is required — employer or agent. The EB-1A and the EB-2 NIW allow self-petition.

History and impediments

I overstayed in the United States. Can I still apply?

It depends on the length and the circumstances. Unlawful presence over 180 days generally triggers a time-bar counted from departure. This requires individual analysis by a qualified professional, and no automated check resolves it.

I have a criminal record. Am I ruled out?

Not automatically. Inadmissibility depends on the nature of the offence and the sentence, and some categories bar entry on their own. This is another point requiring individual analysis.

I have had a visa refused. Does that count?

It counts as a fact to declare, and the reason matters. A refusal for incomplete documentation is not the same as one for an allegation of misrepresentation.

Report, data and payment

What is in the report?

The route matching your answers, requirement by requirement; the queue for your country of birth with the bulletin date; what is already met and what is missing; and, on the merit routes, where there is indication but documented evidence is missing.

How do I receive the report?

By email, as a link to a page. It opens on mobile or desktop and has a button to save it as a PDF. Keep the link: it is your permanent access.

Can I ask for a refund?

Write to gous@ogravata.com. If the report was not delivered, or if there was an error in reading the answers you gave, the amount is refunded.

What happens to my data?

They are kept to issue your report and so you can return to it via the link. They are not sold or shared with third parties.

Is payment secure?

Payment is processed by Stripe. Card details do not pass through this site and are not stored here.

Still unsure where to start?

The check is free and takes three minutes. At the end you know which route matches the answers you gave — and what the queue says.
